CI is actively involved in the process of developing new federal transportation regulations by submitting recommendations pertinent to the chlor-alkali industry’s views to ensure that regulatory changes are reasonable and justified by sound science. CI and its members are also active in supporting the transportation regulatory agencies in the development and implementation of voluntary programs that are designed to enhance the safe transportation of hazardous materials.
