As part of its core mission, The Chlorine Institute (CI or The Institute) is focused on supporting the chlor-alkali industry and serving the public. It does so by fostering continuous improvements to safety and security in an effort to protect human health and the environment as it relates to the manufacture, storage and handling of chlorine and potassium hydroxide, sodium hypochlorite, hydrochloric acid and anhydrous hydrogen chloride (otherwise known as CI mission chemicals).
The Chlorine Institute focuses on improving the environmental health and safety performance of all of its members through information sharing, benchmarking and training.
