The following is the process used by the Institute for responding to technical service inquiries:
Chlorine Institute Members
CI staff will respond to inquiries from members as expeditiously as possible. Members may contact any CI staffer by any means. The staffer will respond or refer the inquiry to the proper person as appropriate. Prompt response to member inquiries is one of the many benefits of CI membership.
Government Regulatory Agencies and Legislative Staff; Emergency Responders

or via fax to 703-894-4134. During normal business hours, urgent requests for assistance can be made via phone to our main line at 703-894-4140 or directly to the CI staffer, if known.
Non-Members (non-emergency)
Technical service focuses on the materials and information contained in our various publications. The Institute does not provide general consulting services nor are we able to provide information that has not been developed by our technical work groups. Requests should be sent via e-mail to

or via fax to 703-894-4134; CI staff will normally respond within three to five business days. Emergency requests for assistance can be made via phone to our main line at 703-894-4140. CI will not respond to phone requests for assistance in non emergency situations. Priority response to member inquiries is one of the many benefits of membership.
